CHAMART is a brand promoting the concept “Drink LEAF TEA and Protect Nature” run by YUtoMI Solutions Co., Ltd. The company was established in Shizuoka, Japan in 2013. CHAMART sells Japanese tea certified as Organic JAS overseas as a wholesaler and introduces the charms of tea, including tea recipes, on CHAMART’s site.
CHAMART provides various Japanese teas, including Matcha (high quality powdered green tea), Sencha (steamed green tea), Fukamushicha (deep-steamed green tea), Hojicha (roasted green tea), powdered Hojicha and Genmaicha (green tea with roasted rice). Matcha and powdered Hojicha are good served as lattes or shakes, and for use in confectionaries. Sencha, Fukamushicha and Gemaicha are daily teas, and the used tea leaves are good for cooking such as toast, pasta, etc. Leaf Hojicha is good to drink as it is, or with sugar, milk or mint.

Most of CHAMART’s tea are cultivated by the CHAGUSABA farming method, traditional in Shizuoka. It is an example of circular agriculture and helps maintain the environment and biodiversity. CHAGUSABA refers to the semi-natural grasslands around tea fields. Cut pampas or bamboo grasses are used as organic compost for tea fields. Cutting the grass exposes small plants and animals to sunlight so they can continue to live. It was recognized as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 2013.
